Our family had a short visit to my father's hometown: IloIlo! After 9 years, my sister and I finally had the chance to pay a visit again and make some moments with our uncles, aunts and cousins..A lot of things had changed (mostly improvements) like the new Airport, more establishments,tourist attractions, restaurants, etc. but still, the "probinsya set up and ambiance" had been well preserved. One of the new attractions is Garin Farm in San Joaquin, IloIlo. Their concept of agriculture, leisure and pilgrimage combined in to one big place is such an idea. This large gate couldn't make it more obvious of what's inside..A greenful welcome from the farm.The hanging vegetables are not for sale, they're using them as ingredients for their restaurant.I'm amazed but at the same time cautious..those plants might fall on my fragile head.=)Entrance fee is a bit steep at P150 each per person. Might be better and reasonable if it's at P50's.Plants and Poultry all over so be ready to get itchy and stinky!=p But on the bright side, this place is totally eco-friendly and pure nature..The place is not yet fully developed and still on its soft opening, but it's worth visiting even at it's status right now..Those rooms are available for overnight stay but wouldn't recommend it for now because at night, the only lighted place is the pilgrimage and restaurant..that means a big part of the place is dark and you could not appreciate the totality of the place.A thousand doves all around the place...Come on and Let's enter The Pilgrimage: From Creation to Ascension.Noah's ark and the paradise.=)Life-size statues of Jesus.Now, we're getting near..At last!Just below the Hugh cross is the final statue of Christ..even though I'm having shortness of breath from accomplishing the 456 steps all the way to the top, I found peace by reflecting and saying thanks to Him for all the blessings and for the good life he has given to me..LEISURE.We tried the rubber boat(P120) and kayak(P90)on their man-made lagoon and it was so fun bonding with my cousins!Theyalso have horseback riding (P60), 300 meters zipline for P250/P350,etc.I must admit that I really had fun at IloIlo with family and a 2-day vacation is so bitin..Anyways, thanks for reading!

My first post this 2012 would be heavy but delightful! I just said Heavy because it's a buffet.. Again, I got a worthy deal from CashCashPinoy at La Cuisine Francaise.Their daily lunch buffet is enough to light up a foodie's day..I find the place eccentric in a nice way. Classic bizarre..I haven't noticed that we were already waiting for so long because I keep on looking at the restaurant's structure..=)I also did appreciate their warm and welcoming service towards each customer. From the starters up to desserts: PERFECT.Good thing we did not skipped the bread and butter.This potato-based soup made my tummy warm and happy.=)The best fish fillet I have tasted so far..probably because of the sauce which I wasn't able to ask.Again, I had fun eating..=)Their pasta choices were just ok for me. I want my pasta kasi full of toppings rather than simple.The salad was so simple but I was surprised that a mango vinaigrette was available!I hope to know the name of this chicken dish because honestly, this was my favorite during the buffet..For dessert, they have assorted fruits and these bite-sized cream puffs!Mimi.=p I'm so sorry if the photos doesn't seem appetizing or yummy to you..but I swear that they all taste good. I didn't bother taking good shots because I'm too busy helping myself on those dishes.I highly recommend this place for all the foodies and for those who just want a cozy place for long conversations..

My poor best friend gave me a dinner treat at Stackers Burger Cafe and as much as I had fun eating a yummy burger, I had the best moments with her because we barely see each other since our college days.=)Aside from Burgers, they also offer burger in bowls, side stacks including salads, nuggets, chicken fingers,etc, and chicken and chips. For dessert,milkshakes, floats, sundaes and coffee are available.Mei had the House Burger (P168) - Quarter pound with Lettuce, Mayo, American Cheese, tomato, onion bits and Stackers orig sauce.

Deluxe Burger (P168)- same with the house burger but only with grained mustard sauce. The burgers are designed like that in Sango..anyways both burgers tastes great!

Chicken Nuggets (P120) - super crispy and tasty!the fries was also a winner together with the bbq dip!

Ever since I got aware of my sense of taste, I hated peanut butter, peanuts or anything that relates to it. Whenever my Nanay, Tatay and sister would have a special bonding filling out those breads with PB,I'm always thinking that I should miss that one.But today is really weird because I insisted to eat at PB company with mimi (another PB hater.=p). Maybe because I have enough heard of all the thumbs up and I wanna get out of my usual and embrace something I've been avoiding ever since.Good thing that every meal here in PB company is reinvented and surprisingly, I'm very satisfied with my dinner.=) The place was small but I got this feeling of "It's cool to be in here." Meals served in box - to - go's and plastic utensils,a diner-type with peanut butter based meals...real simple!Meals range from P100 to P200. I don't want every peso of my money get wasted so I played it safe by ordering their PB Burger (185) - Quarter pound beef patty, lettuce, tomatoes, and mix of Mayo and Sesame Peanut butter.I never thought that PB would go perfect with burgers!would definitely go back for this together with their milkshake.=)Fish n' Rice (P135) - Your usual cream dory fish fillet added with a creamy peanut butter sauce.=)Curry Chicken Spaghetti (Half - P105) - A must try one-of-a-kind pasta!The curry sauce was not too strong and I liked it that way.=)Classic Milkshake (P125) - Mimi's new favorite..One of her reasons to come back at PB, co.I'm really curious how this Dark Chocolate PB tastes like..Might as well pair those meals with their different Special Sodas..All in, We walked out happy after eating here. I'm back!Not with a Featured Restaurant but with a New found Beverage, instead! While I was on a jeepney ride going to Sucat for my SS number, I happened to glance at this new 7 eleven ad which was called MILKIS, a product from korea. I was intrigued by its look and with the fact that its my first time to taste a Carbonated milk!It tastes like Yakult only with less aftertaste. I recommended it to some of my friends and they liked it, too..A can of Milkis would only cost you P17 that's why I bought a lot for me and my sister!* I only compared it to Yakult when it comes with how it tastes but definitely Yakult is better cos its a goodie to your tummy. Milkis is considered a softdrink.

Our dinner at Atsu Atsu Ramen was Mimi's treat from her last sweldo.It's sad, I know cos going back on her working days, all for me was free..haha!Anyways, It's surprising how a lot of customers dig and stop by AAR from it's location. You'll know it when you get there. AAR is just a small ramen restaurant at Quezon City and choices are limited too..We had this meal for two consisting of:Tokyo Ramen - This is the first time I tasted Ramen so I don't know if this is the best or its just how all ramen really tastes.And if that is the case, then I'm a new found Ramen fan! This big bowl is good for 2-3 persons and we almost emptied it in no time!It's best to eat ramen during dinner cos it's coooOOoold! 4 pcs Fish Fillet- love their tender and tasty fillets but I just noticed they're not much good in mixing their sauce.2 Mini Salads - A simple salad with a splendid dressing!2 Garlic Rice4 pcs GyozaIced Tea - almost close to water but it's ok.2 Coffee Jelly - Not a fan of coffee - based desserts but if I was,maybe I'd like it cos the taste of coffee here was prominent and strongAll of these for only P350 using our voucher. P450 on their regular price.Ordered their 6 pcs california Maki (P150) - You already know what a Sushi lover would write here.=)It was already 9:00 pm when we got there and the other customers were almost done and left in a few minutes. The place was quite small and the waitresses were looking at us while eating.It's a bit awkward but I do understand that they're just being attentive to what we might need. And still, they're on a dry run..not bad service at all for a starter!Even a bite of fame is hard to get: AAR is offering an eat-all-you-can Ramen for P200!Beat this guy by eating 5 ramens in an hour and you'll have this spot at the restaurant.=p

After a long travel from Residencia De Riego, we headed straight to Mimi's work place at Makati Med and had our Lunch at Piadina. The place was dull and I thought I have to dance before the waiter can notice we were there (considering that they only have 2 sets of customers that time).We had Calzone set (P165) - Pasta of the day with a Big Calzone and Iced Tea. Would have liked their calzone medium sized but full of fillings..This one's made of air and some mushrooms,cheese,etc. Porkchop with Mushroom Rice (P165) - goes with Iced tea too..Mimi liked this but it's just fine with me.Well, we just tried to eat at something new. Piadina's worth a try but to come back again..I don't think so.

Tagaytay Trip: Army Navy + Yellow Cab

Army Navy is strictly on burgers and burrito. It's just a casual dining place where you can eat burgers with your bare hands and not get intimidated at all. The "Army Navy theme" is too catchy that's why a lot of customers get curious and invited to eat here.Transactions are made through this glass pane and the menu are posted in it plus, self-service as always.I so love this scooter!Never mind the models.=p

The Freedom Fries (P60) - A bit spicy but I got hooked with this one.Steak Burrito (P160) + extra cheese (P30)- This is a very very wrong way to eat your burrito!haha! There's a poster on how to eat it but I didn't mind and so I ended up dissecting and eating it with spoon. I happily finished this with jalapeno and garlic sauce.=)Burger (P145) - Classic quarter- pounder.. This was Ate Mara's. She didn't enjoyed this much..Yellow cab always goes with Army Navy. We ate at 2nd floor which was Yellow Cab's.Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta (P235) - My co-trainees' favorite!Our Lunch was a blast of spiciness!Thank God I was able to tolerate it.=pTwice-Baked Potato (P195) - Oven baked potatoes with sour cream sauceSola (P50) Although this brunch left our pockets half-empty, It made our tummies happy and heavy!And it's fascinating when you're eating with a view like this.Thank You Ate Mara and Jermax.Ang saya ng bonding natin!

Hi!Still alive from a very rough and tough travel but I really can't wait to share with you such a nice place.Well, not really perfect cos even the best has its own floss.=)I'm talking about Residencia de Riego Resort in Batangas..Its 2-3 hours away from Manila but I swear, it'll give justice once you got there.=)A large wooden gate will open to welcome you and at the side is the Information where you can confirm your reservation and they'll give you the key to your room.This cute dog will give you a welcome bark!arf!haha!Our room is only the Kubo-type which will cost you P3000 originally but since we got in on cashcashpinoy, the price dropped to P900 only with a complimentary breakfast for two. The thing here is there's only a ceiling fan and a comfortable bed in a kubo and a cottage where you can eat or stay. It was nice naman and that would fit the P900 that we paid. A bit Pricey if rented for P3000.If you're worrying that insects and bugs would freely enter your room, stop cos there's none even at night.The 3 pools are well-maintained and looks really inviting may it be day or night. I love its changing colors at night..Ambiance was super great because they had a nice sound system that keeps on playing music to soothe your mood.They also have this creative mini bar with a barista performing all the time.haha!Their restaurant was classy,too and the food was also delicious..I just didn't like their version of Pansit Bihon. All listed in the menu is good for 2-3 persons already and its cheap that way.=)Here's an advanced prep on our table.=)We had Carbonara (P150) for our merienda. Good for sharing, creamy and yummy!For Dinner: Pansit Bihon (P150) - bad choice from me.And Lechon Kawali (P200) Our free Breakfast is Pork Tapa, sunny sideup, fried rice, and free flowing kapeng barako.=)We were the only visitors plus a group of 10, I think. So we were spoiled that day.=pThey also provide other activities like darts,billiards, basketball, etc.Just approach them on how to avail.We really liked the place and definitely would want to go back if given a chance. The place was peaceful and relaxing. Plus, safety is ensured because lifeguards are at post but not that intimidating. GREEN.=)I forgot to tell why we're here..It's Mimi's 22nd Birthday!How to get there:Just ride Jam Buses (P162 fare) going to Lemery and tell them to drop you at Muzon. From there, ride a tricycle which would cost you P70..that's it!

The worth of the voucher is for the cruise experience alone for me and the dinner buffet was just an awesome add-up. Prestige Cruises offers this for P500 if not for the promo. To accommodate all those who bought the deal, they have to make 3 rounds each day: 6:00pm,8:00pm and 10:00pmI suggest this when you're with your loved ones cos it's so romantic roaming the sea with all the city lights around. Too bad, during our ride it was a bit bumpy cos the waves are going wild.But I think it's tolerable for me cos I didn't vomit at all.=pThere were a lot of indians on board and they were so active dancing in groups during the trip. At least we had a bonus fun show.hahaha!There were only 3 choices for main dishes, salad and soup and their chocolate bars which are not unlimited. When we got to try Eat-all-you-can authentic Indian dishes here at Legend of India, I realized that I can handle different tastes of different cultures...And T think, I love that fact.=) We got this deal on a promo for only P280++ per personSome of their dishes were delicious and some were really weird for us. Anyways, we had fun here because it's an unusual experience and we were bonded again to laugh at each other's face!haaha!mga panget!The place was small,modernized but with full touch of India. Their LCD flatscreen TVs show Music Videos from their country, And most of the customers were Indian!We tried samples of each dishes since were not yet familiar. No pork, no beef but their's a variety of chicken dishes. Whenever there's something new, expect filipinos to dig and grab on it cos we were like, hey! this is new..I gotta try it and tell my friends that I've been there or I have that. Maybe that's one of the reasons why Chicken Bon Chon invaded Manila. The Soy Garlic Chicken is so new to us plus a lot of bloggers are promoting it well.Chicken Bon Chon is basically a fast food type which offers mainly their chicken and the rest as side dishes only. Compared to others, their price is a bit on the high side (6pcs drumsticks would cost P360++).It's fully occupied when we got there and we have to order to get prioritized with the seats..The crew are busy and the crowd's noisy.=pWe had 2pcs. Chicken plus a regular drink for P145 - I love the soy garlic flavor but I thought it's kinda "bitin" since the flavor did not touch the inside meat of the chicken..Anyways, still it's good..no need for sauce.I totally agree with Mimi when she told me that nothing would beat Jollibee's Chickenjoy. Must say that Bon Chon's a must-try but it's not the type you'll want to eat frequently. I first heard Cravings from Ate Lucy but It turned out that Mimi knew it,too.They both found it from some TV show because of the Eat-all-you-can Cakes and coffee just for P150. I googled it and I'm so happy that they're also offering Unlimited Salad and Soup just by buying a main Entree!The outside view of Cravings. Simple and elegant like the other restaurants at Shang.=)They really had a lot of good offerings like this Weekend Roast Buffet for only P625.Eat-all-you-can Cakes and Coffee:There are Five selections of Cakes everyday fot you to choose from. Mimi's so unlucky that 4 out of 5 cakes are all chocolate flavor but of course, all of them tastes good. And as for the coffee, a definite winner for her.Le Cordon Bleu Chicken(P385 + service charge) - Made from pure chicken, its a bit on the mild side but not bland. I love its simple taste especially when dipped in gravy. The mashed potato was a great substitute for rice.=)It's fun making my own salad with the different fresh ingredients around me. The caesar dressing's so addictive! I didn't tried the soup cos I'll get full easily and the salad's my priority since it's my favorite.=pThe crew was so kind and sensitive enough to take a photo of us.=)We had a Great time at Cravings! I always get excited everytime I purchase a voucher because I know I'll have a great time and experience at a slashed-off price. Mimi and I used our Voucher from Metrodeal at Kainan sa Balanghay, one of the Paluto restaurants at Seaside, Macapagal. I am very considerate at posting feedbacks regarding my experience at every place but this time I really can't hide my dissapointment at this place.For P200 pesos I got this deal entitled,"Unlimited Eat-All-You-Can International Buffet Featuring the Best Dishes from Asia & Drink for P199 instead of P500"..But nothing in this phrase fits the experience we had. It is not Unlimited,it is not worth P500 and the worst of all, it does not feature the best dishes from Asia!What we had for the night are Salad, A forgettable Maki, Adobo, Chicken Curry, Fish Fillet,Pansit, Ginataan and that's it.Plus, a glass of Iced TeaThe Buffet was a mess because they didn't had the time range for the dinner buffet and they had their cut-off time for refilling as early as 8pm when in fact it is just a mid-dinner time..The food and service was just OK and everything is so forgettable!They're trying to blame Metrodeal for posting the wrong ad but actually, it has been there for a long time and they didn't even bother coordinating with metrodeal to change it. Choose among a variety of steaks and grills at affordable prices. I only took a photo of my food: Beef Morcon (P160) - I love all kinds of Morcon in gravy or peanut butter sauce. When you feel like being PG, all you think about are cheap eats that could make your tummy happy and somehow satisfy your taste buds. That's what I'm thinking about every time I eat at World Chicken. I'm a regular here and I order the same combo all the time..=) It's the grilled chicken with mornay cheese, potato salad and fetuccini Al Tomo . This combo has 2 sidings which will cost you P160..not bad,eh.You have a lot of sidings to choose from and create your own platter..Visit Worldchicken for the complete list.The Place? They have a lot of branches either on a foodcourt or as a cafe. This one's on Mall of Asia is the most spacious that I have seen yet.P.S. : I just don't understand their tagline "Be good to your heart, eat grilled". Are you making shit out of me?Just kiddin..but this really dropped my brain on the floor.=p

I bet we all knew Joey Pepperoni but I'd still blog about it as not to waste our experience there.There's really nothing to rave about their offers just quality food at cheap prices. One of which is their traditional Pasta All-you-can (P149) and their promo 2 14" inch pizzas for 200 pesos only.

You can choose from these 3 options: Pinoy Classic Spaghetti, Pesto Cream and Penne & Cheese. Too bad Pesto Cream wasn't available during our visit.

The rules:
-NO Leftovers.No Sharing and For Dine-in only
-Starts 6pm onwards Daily
-Get one Pizza for free when you beat 9 plates in 1.5 hours

The TASTE? well don't expect much for this kind of offer.But I assure you that there's no dissapointment, either.Just enough to fill your empty stomach and for fun when you'd take it as a challenge with your barkada.=)

One of the greatest decisions I made when it comes to blogging is that I joined Nuffnang community. Recently, Cowboys and Aliens' Special Screening was held at Gateway Sponsored by Pizza Hut with their new campaign Hot on the Dot.

I've met a lot of bloggers and it's like they're so interested about your blog info..=) Finger foods are served courtesy of Pizza Hut, of course. It's composed of Chicken Strips, Fries and Mozzarella Sticks with their complimentary sauce. I know it's a bit awkward but we all had our second round!hehe!

Anyways, going back to Pizza Hut, I think that their new strategy would click and work for everyone. Imagine, just to prove that their pizza is 100% hot upon delivery, they invented the thermo-regulated sticker that turns its color to white when it's hot and goes back to being black when the surface's not hot!The one that's here has not yet changed except middle sticker since it will took a while to change color.

Nobody wants a cold pizza!Yan ang sigaw ng Pizza Hut delivery men!=P

The Movie: Cowboys vs. aliens - At First, it was a bit boring and I felt that it was so out of my generation considering it's about "cowboys". But as it goes on, i got busy watching on what will happen next..It was worth-while for us plus the free popcorn,drinks and PIZZA!I know my friend here really enjoyed the moment!

I had a total of four free tickets but I only consumed 3 for Mimi,Dawn and I.Sayang wala ang pinakamamahal kong si Krinessa.hahaha!

I was really happy this night and I'm hoping for a lot more nuffnang events to come.

I've been a blogger since my high school days but I felt nothing more than a usual blogger talking about this and that..Maybe at some point I felt cool and earned a bit happiness but that's all it was. Then came Nuffnang and now I'm called "THE NUFFNANG BLOGGER" .

It's so easy to admit that being a nuffnang blogger gives me the confidence I need. The confidence to spread my own words, feeling, thoughts and my very own personality. I believe that when we are comfortable with ourselves, we became the best that we can be..And just not to make that phrase dramatic, people who are comfortable and confident call themselves "HOT"! We are all HOT in our own ways and I think that when it comes to blogging, I AM HOT BECAUSE I'M A NUFFNANGER!.

Happy Cream Puff!

Cream puffs are one of my favorite desserts.My Tatay introduced it to my Sister and I when we were little..He would buy cream puffs from their cafeteria and we would be waiting for him from his work just for that.=)

Although there are a lot of versions that sprout from time to time, still, classics reign like beard papa's and this one..The Happy Cream Puff.

Though not known that much, Happy Cream puff has branches in Makati and other areas.Stores are quite small cause Cream puffs are the "pasalubong-type" so people come and go at the store.

Singles go from P20-40. The Eclair which is a best-seller starts at P35.We bought the Box of 14(P250) and there's also a box of 10 for P180.

I love the simple taste of the filling..Not too sweet and the happy cream puff branch near Makati Med is generous when it comes to the cream filling.=)

I'm taking advantage with these free days. I never thought that I'd appreciate it much..Every minute of my day-off is special!hahaha!This is a Happy Cream Puff day with Mimi.=p

We had eaten at all the good,better and best Restaurants at Mall of Asia but never on fast foods..I did ate at some with my friends but never with Mimi..so we tried Dennis the Grill Boy for a change and for something lighter to her pocket.=)

This place had always been busy and occupied every mealtime..They offer unlimited rice on most of their meals

Mimi had her treat on me again and I'm very much thankful because we got full at a cheap price of P360. Yes, you have read it right! The promo consists of two main entrees, our choice of salad and two drinks.

I usually get dissapointed when Mimi's the one choosing our place but from Mangan up to Eat and Go, she consecutively impressed me of her choices.=p

I got Chicken Saltimbocca with 2 side dishes (carbonara and corn n' carrots)

Prawn Bucatini with roasted pepper rice and carbonara

Waldorf Salad - Fresh and sweet! Reminded me of Blair..and Chuck.=)

We had berry tea and fresh lemonade as our drinks.It was a nice and thrifty lunch at Eat and Go. I almost forgot to pay cause it was not indicated in their name "Eat and Go".just messin' with you, guys!=p

It's Mimi's Payday and we're supposed to process her License but her money came late so we just went to MOA and ate there. She bought me two boxes of Pizza from Joey Pepperoni for only P200. Yummy!.And she brought me to Mangan cos we're too lazy to go to the other side for Peanut Butter company and I'm soooo Hungry I could almost eat her.=p

from outside, Mangan can magnetize you just by their interiors..Old-style with these golden framed mirrors. It was small but good enough for family gatherings. I love the place since it's refelective to their Filipino dishes.

The service was great, too but just like any other fancy restaurants,patience is needed in waiting for your orders.

I wasn't into Filipino dishes that time so i only had Lumpiang Sariwa and claimed to eat Pasta afterwards.Upon ordering, they'll give you a free Camote Frit as an appetizer.

Lumpiang Gulay (P75) - Good for sharing.One of the best Lumpiang Sariwa I've tasted!I just don't like the kamote bits but all in it was the best!

Tortang Talong with Giniling (P150) - We were laughing at how "sosy" the waitress pronounced it.But anyway, Mimi loved this and I did, too. Not your usual one, a winner for us.=)

Bibingka and Puto Bumbong Sampler (P95) - We ordered two of this. One order is composed of 2 rolls of Puto Bumbong and 2 mini Bibingka. Mimi wasn't contented with hers so she invaded mine.=)

P99 Breakfast Buffet at Kusina ni Kambal!

I wanted to bring the old times when I used to pay a visit at Mimi's place just to eat near there. And since I'm not yet employed (but I have an on-going training now), I need to have a cheap find. And yes! I found one in Marikina called "Kusina ni Kambal" offering a P99 Breakfast Buffet from 7:00 to 10:00 am.

The place reminds me of the restaurants in Intramuros maybe because of these rock walls. The place looks historical because that's what they're trying to emphasize. Outside the resto are old pictures from Marikina's history.

Their usual menu are Scrambled Egg with variety of toppings,Menudo, Adobo, Morcon, Fried Rice, Lugaw and Tocino. Desserts are composed of Palitaw and Fresh Fruits. The food was great but it wasn't free-flowing at all. I mean, when we got there, it's time for a refill but it took them a while to fill those empty food trays.

Beside Kusina ni Kambal is Cafe Kapitan which offers Lunch Buffet for P180, I think. I really enjoyed this sunny morning and I know that Mimi had the same feeling cos' I came all the way from Paranaque just to join her to have breakfast.=)

Since it's along J.P. Rizal, Kusina ni Kambal has this mini statue of our very own hero.

How to go there: From LRT Santolan Station, use the overpass to get to the other side. Their's an eskinita beside 7-eleven and try to find a blue tricycle. It's P30 from there so you wouldn't walk anymore like we did.

LG Optimus defines GENIUS.

Everyday, a smartphone is being born just because it's the trend and now it's getting boring cause they're all the same. Ever wonder when will something "exceptional" come?Something so different and brilliant that it comes to a point you're gonna call it GENIUS? Well, I was searching the net to search for something GENIUS next to Einstein or probably close to him and guess what I found..It's LG's World's Firsts: Optimus 2x and optimus Black.

Definitely,Undeniably,Surely, I am no Genius but I know what a Genius is made of.So let me share to you how a smartphone can be considered GENIUS.

1.It should be extraordinary. Compared to those single core smartphones, I would really feel extraordinary if I had an Optimus 2x because of its dual core processor by Nvidia.This could make my web browsing experience so perfect! Or let's take it the other way around, buy an upgraded laptop or PC, a dslr, A game console, a smartphone and a videocam worth P100,ooo or buy an LG Optimus phone which has it all and slash off all the big expenses from the prices of those big gadgets.For someone practical like me, I'd go for the LG Optimus Phones.A wise decision that is!

Late Night Buffet at Corniche (Diamond Hotel)

Mimi and I celebrated my birthday at Corniche Restaurant(Diamond Hotel).It was a late night buffet deal from Ensogo for P350 per person. There were a LOT of people who came that night and most of them were using Ensogo Vouchers,too. The Buffet started at exactly 10:00 pm and ends at 2:00 am but we took off at 12:00 since we're already full.=)

The place was really elegant with these Metal Bird Chandeliers and the high ceilings made the space look bigger. The service was great,too although the crew is in limited numbers, they still managed to roam around to ask and provide every customers' needs.

The only ugly part here is that you have to face this very long line to cover all the dishes..

It's no surprise that all the dishes here are great because Corniche is the main restaurant of Diamond Hotel which happens to be a Five-star Hotel. From their appetizers up to their desserts, all were uniquely delicious. I like the simple pizza topped with sweet arugula.=)

I made my own salad with ranch and blue cheese dressing,yummy!

Some of the dessert choices were just OK.They just look appetizing but they're actually not. The only one we loved here is their Creme Brulee but it was just in limited quantity.

Superb Luncheon Buffet at Berjaya Hotel Manila!

Thanks to Buyanihan for the Superb Luncheon Buffet at Berjaya Hotel Manila!For P225 I got my tummy loaded with good dishes and a glass of Iced Tea.

At the Lobby.Not a Five - star Hotel but Berjaya is cozy enough for us to have good moments together.

El Prado is the name of the Hotel's restaurant. I must say that their staff are gracious enough even in the most busy situation considering it's lunch time.

Choices are limited but all of the dishes are good.I couldn't complain much, really.

* Kare - Kare, Roast Porloin with Creamy Mushroom Sauce, Roasted Chicken, Fish Fillet with lemon and coconut cream sauce, potato and zuchini au gratin and roasted chicken

The salad for me is a "forget about it" or maybe it's just with the vinaigrette that went wrong.

The "Make your own Pasta" was cool for me. Long Line, though.

* The Leche Flan was so yummy!

This was so sulit to us and we're waiting again for a nice deal to come!

Vitamilk is my new love.

I have no intention to endorse or whatever that may sound like that in doing this post. I just want to share with you guys my new find at a local store near us.It's called Vitamilk.I have always loved soy products and would always get eager to buy soyamilk whenever I see someone sellin' it.

One afternoon, I was looking for something refreshing and this caught my eye simply because it's a bottled soyamilk.haha!At the counter, the cashier told me that it's their new import and she flash bragged that it do taste good. Tried it at home and the next thing I knew it was already my favorite!Not the usual soyamilk that contains a lot of residues and when it comes to taste, still, a lot better than the others.

It's a product of Thailand under green spot corporation.Try it friends and tell me if I have dissapointed you.=)

Roadtrip to south 2: Caleruega

Inspired by a friend, we went to Caleruega without knowing that it's miles away from Nuvali and with just a little knowledge about directions..God is really good because he lead us safely to his church. When we got there, I knew right then that my friend was right..Caleruega is really a beautiful place to keep yourself at peace. Only that you had to pay an entrance fee of P30.00 to visit a church?hmmm..

I'm really in the mood to take pictures because everywhere seems to be the perfect spot to take a photo..

Again, it was my sister who became so happy while I was taking pictures of every pose she does.

Plants are for sale also..I wanted to buy for tatay but I'm afraid it will not be the same after a long trip from bus..

Caleruega is known for retreats and I agree with all my heart that this is the place to be..

Roadtrip to South 1: Solenad, Nuvali.

Solenad, Nuvali is just like any other place,only that it is farther. But there is something in this place I would keep comin' back..I don't know but we've enjoyed in here so much!Nuvali is just one bus away from Manila and you can get proactive after being dropped here.

THE MAIN ATTRACTION?The abundant number of Koi that would die just to eat the bite-sized feeds you've thrown unto them!Oh my,to our amusement, we've bought a total of seven bags of feeds (P15 each) just to watch them fight over it!here's an explanation why we have to reward the good koi.

This is our first bonding together and I love watching my sister and Mimi having good times and moments here in Nuvali.=)

There isn't much to do here but the limited activities can already give you so much fun! How about a Taxi Boat Ride? This only costs P30 each with a minimum of six persons. In our case,since we're only three, we bought the whole trip for P180 pesos. I didn't thought that this cheap ride would cost my sister so much happiness.=)

Bikes are for rent for P60 per hour but not these super gorgeous "gwapo" bikes. It's just bike parking for customers of a trail cafe. Oh how I'm so addicted to mountain bikes!

After a while, exhaustion takes place and we had to relax and dine at Conti's. I'm very much occupied with Nuvali so the food photos are just snapshots but I hope you'd still like it..

Apple Potato Salad (P130) - The simple combination of apple, potato, chicken and carrots gave me a nice munchy feeling. The three of us shared this together

Tofu Steak (P190) - I told you, tofu's my weakness. There's no doubt that I loved this dish.Getting biased again.=)

Choco Mousse (P70) - Simple but tempting. We know that Conti's creations are not that sweet so it gives you an addictive feeling to eat more slices of cake..

This is just part one of our Roadtrip to south. A very very tiring day,indeed. But it's okay cos it's all worth it!I love my Sister and my Mimi.=)

Floating Island: Makati Med's Best.

I headed straight to Makati Med after my initial interview at Heart Center. My half day at PHC was a bit of stress for me because it's my first work interview, I don't know but I got tired easily with just a psycho exam and a 5 minute- interview. When I got at MMC, maybe Mimi was on the best of her mood that she offered me "merienda" at Floating Island at her expense. I have been wanting to eat at Floating Island ever since my first check - up at mmc and that was way way back during my childhood days.

The interiors were that of an ordinary cafeteria on prestige hospitals. If you're not familiar about Floating Islands, for sure you'd go some place like Pizza Hut, Burger King, etc which are just inside the hospital. You and I know the financial status of clients here so the prices of dishes here no matter how simple it is would cost you much.Good thing Floating Island gives their prices justice. I'm so happy that my long time dream of eating here didn't dissapoint me at all means.

My all time favorite here is their Turon (P25). I could eat three if you'll provide me.=)

Monte Carlo (P190)+ 10% SC - typical as it seems,this sandwich could satisfy you alone. I love the combination and the cheese was not too strong here. that's my type of sandwich!

Pancit Maria (P210)+ 10% SC - With the way it looks,you'd doubt about the taste but believe me it's flavorful! This one's can be shared by two already. A vegetarian like me would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Thanks to Mimi for making this childhood dream of mine to life like when she bought me a mountain bike.=) After this, we went to starbucks for a chill. She made fun of me by taking shots of my odd pose.

Overall, Floating island gives MMC patients a good deal for a hospital -based menu. Most of the hospital cafeterias kasi would made their experience and food both redundant, dull and bland.Plus, I've been to a LOT of hospitals because I'm a sick person (mentally and physically) and I think Floating Island is the best so far for me.=)

Barbara's: 100% Filipino Pride!

Barbara's is one of the restaurants I least expect to have fun and appreciate at all. In fact, I don't even know it though it's just blocks away from our university.Ei!don't think too much bout my ignorance.=)

I was into groupons that everyday I check their latest offers and BOOM! I found this deal at Barbara's. I called my friend Dawn and told her about it and she made it easy for me because she's the one who paid our transaction at the bank.Thanks Friend!Mabuhay ka!It was me,dawn,issa and Mei who enjoyed the deal for P250 only(worth P500).

The place was boldly Filipino. The classic ancestral type which has the power to turn back time and make you feel that you and Rizal were just like "amigos". Most of the guests were Foreigners and you could see that they're really amazed by our culture especially when the performers danced our own cultural dances.

My friends getting so excited to go upstairs leaving me at the entrance.So sweet!=p

Never thought that my first deal at groupons would be this great!Foods were at limited choices but you can never go wrong with all of it!My favorite was the grilled bacalao. The fish was tender and juicy!There's also adobo, Pansit, Tinola, Side dishes like Ensaladang Mangga and desserts like Palitaw, Buko Lychee, and fresh fruits.

Then there's the cultural dance while you are eating. Actually, it caught most of the attention but for someone like us, we just watched it a bit and gave a full blast attention to the food!Food!Food!

After the performance, it was now time for the audience to learn our own cultural dance tinikling.So the dancers serve as the volunteer's guide and Yeah! it was fun. Here's my two friends volunteering theirselves to be the center of attraction or I think more of Distraction?hahaha!

Overall, i had a great time here at Barbara's.We were laughing most of the time and this also serves as a leisure time for missed friends. I love the food and everthing that came with the deal!And Barbara's also reminds me that there are a lot of things that Filipinos should be proud of.

A Tempura Dinner for Her.

We were supposed to make our dinner heavy with a buffet but all of the restaurants offering buffets are close to closing in.This was a turn down cos we're really hungry. Along our way to our last choice, Mimi saw Tempura japanese Grill which I know already that Tempura's store banner is shining brightly from her eyes. I couldn't say NO and I'm on the go for japanese foods naman.

The place is comfy and good enough for a japanese restaurant, a modern type, I guess. With couches on the sides and grills at your own table.

The price of every dish goes accordingly with the serving and taste, average. Good thing we did not order much because our food is more than enough for dinner.

Ebi Tempura 3 pieces (P190) - the deep fried tiger prawns of Tempura are above average but not that great to rave about. They could have at least made it 4-5 pieces considering the price.

Uncle sam's Maki (P200) - Cream Cheese, mango, mayo, cucumber,bacon. This is a favorite!Even with the cheese and mayo combination, hindi sya nakakaumay. A bestseller indeed!

Ebi Hamburg Katsudon (P235) - I love katsudons!But all I've tasted are pork so I got curious if it's prawns on the inside. Well,actually, the prawns were not outstanding at this dish although it's evident at every slice.

Mimi is now working at Makati Medical Center and of course, I would visit her when my time and money would allow me. I wanted to try Dome but decided to skip it cos it would swipe away even my savings so we tried Sango, the japanese burger master instead. It's just along Legaspi Village, walking distance from Makati Med.

The Place. Simple and organized. The one that caught my attention are the manga comics at the side of the resto. So if you're a lover, you might spend a couple of hours at Sango.

The Food. we had two of their burgers, no add-ons.

Chicken Cheese Burger (P155) - I love how the coleslaw goes with the chicken. Sango is good in making combinations and if burgers here would cost less than a hundred, I'd have another one after the other.=)

Master Cheese Burger (P155) - One of the best burgers I've tasted! The special meat sauce and diced onion gave me a nice mild kick, the sliced cheese was melting slowly in my tongue and The patty was 100 % pure, it was all worth it! But I got to admit that I've been messy with this one.=)

The Service. They can distinguish easily if you're a first timer or not that's why they also know your needs. And for the japanese experience, they gave us an origami which I don't know what figure is it. I really had fun here! I wanted to savour the goodness of their burgers but I can't help myself eating it fast and effortless.haha!

I really can say that Sango is one of the best burgers in town and I'd go back again and again for their burgers and for their fries maybe.. I find their salads a bit simple but who knows if it's great naman pala.

Mann Hann started in the late 1994 and now has branches which are patronized everyday by their local customers. In fact, when we pass by Mann Hann at Mall of Asia, a lot of people choose to wait even for an hour just to have their seat at the restaurant. Of course, by curiosity, I wanted to know what’s the fuss is all about.

As expected, the place was full again so waiting is not really an option. The place is big naman but not enough lang talaga for the population of their customers. Good thing it’s just Mimi and I so the staff didn’t find it hard to give us a decent seat.

Chilled Tofu with Century Egg (P120) – I’m a tofu lover and this is really a good combination. But maybe this would be better if the sauce was sweeter.

Prawn Tempura (P220) – I loved their tempura version. Simple yet satisfying.

Taosi Fish Fillet (P250) – this was just Ok. I should have ordered their Lechon Macau which is one of Mann Hann’s bestseller. I was just taking it low for my health status that’s why I had this.=)

After Mann Hann, we had Fantastic Pinay (P225) at Café Breton. A combination of Mango, Nutella and whipped cream. Again, CB never failed us on this.Delicious!

Can you believe it? The famous Italian scooters are now in Manila under MotoItalia Philippines!Dealers are still few but the thought that it's already out for sale here is drivin' me crazy. I first saw it when I bough a shirt from Bench because they're showing Vespa scooters at their stores as part of their promo. Anyway, I don't think that Vespas would fit the worn - out look of Manila streets so maybe If I managed to have one, I'll have it only for display.=)

Woah!Sex for dinner?I'm not being green here but "Sex" just means Sinangag Express!I know that Sex have been famous for a long time but since We've been here after a joyride, might as well blog about it.

Sinangag Express at BF homes Paranaque is quite spacious than the others but the service is a bit slow fo me. A customer got angry because they were not entertained well and the service was soo slow. He said, "Tanggalin nyo na yang EXPRESS" nyo ha.=P oh well.

Banapple was one of my target restaurants but it was too far from home.Good thing we went at St. Claire which was few meters away from the restaurant so I got the chance to pay a visit.I wanted to go here not for myself but for Mimi cos she likes to try everything sweet..There were no vacant seats inside that time so we managed to wait a bit. There's also al fresco seats on the second floor but its more for smokers and hey! we're in the city so "al fresco" here isn't appropriate.

The place was cute and LOVEly, still holding on till the month of love ends. The simple chandelier was decorated with hearts and valentine cards (I wonder how many times have I looked at it).

Though their highlight was on pies and cheesecakes, Banapple also ensures that you would go back not just for the pies or cheeseakes butalso for their signature dishes. The photos on their one - page menu are not as satisfying as when it got served. For a minimum of P165, you already have banapple's best at big servings.

Herbed Chicken rolls with basil cream sauce (P175) - One of their bestsellers.Winner talaga yung basil sauce!I finished this quickly!I wasn't aware na continuous na yung pagsubo ko.P.G. =p

Baked Creamy cheese Penne (P175) - this was just ok,I was about to order the lasagna rolls and don't know why I had this instead.

Banoffee Pie (P85) - this looks yummy but we just had this for take - out. Full already.

My cherry pink crush (P100) - a valentine's special pie. The simple sweet taste was awesome!

Our bill was only 500++ considering the great food, ambiance and service. This is way way better than that of red ribbon and the likes that are too much commercialized.
For a visit from someone far from this place, I think your visit will be worthwhile. There were lots of people dropping by just for their cakes so maybe, that's one good point to keep.

Blogging about fancy restaurants and cool stuffs are so00o "nakakaumay na", why not let's make it a bit rugged but rich in culture sometimes? Dawn and I went to china town for an adventure and surely that's what we got. With a little background of the place, we walked straight, literally..never turning left or right cos we might get lost (that's a really cool idea from dawn).This place has ways of separating itself from the real "Maynila".The place seems old but organized, I feel no worries walking on the streets except being lost. We were amazed because everything was so new to us. Hooray for the newbies at chinatown!

First Stop: Sincerity Cafe and Restaurant
Is this the place everyone was talking about?All was just okay not until we had their fried chicken..Dawn and I was convinced there was magic in it!crazy ha? It was ordinary for my eyes but not for my tastebuds..It's so juicy and I was searching for the hard parts but there was none!The chicken was soft and addictive!For this experience, P150 would really mean cheap for you.

We also had their lumpiang sariwa (P40) which was also great..but if I have known that another restaurant makes it their specialty, I wouldn't order at Sincerity na..

Second Stop: Dong Bei Dumplings
The place was small and not as welcoming as we expect but let's just laugh it out! Dumplings here would cost you P80 for 10pcs and P100 for 14pcs.

My eyes got stucked on how they made their dumplings and it's a lot of work and time and my partner and I would just swipe the 10pcs in a matter of seconds..=)

The Wong Lo Kat Herbal drink was our favorite!Look at Dawn's Face..So happy!

The bad side here is about the Dong Bei's hygiene practices..If I were so concerned about cleanliness, I'd mind skipping this because the place was a little disaster and the one whom i gave our payment didn't bother washing her hands before going back in the making of dumplings when she had already collected money from the customers..that's an eew!

Considering the food at dong bei, this will still be: SWAK!

Third Stop: Chinese - Labelled Popsicles (P25)
Just flavorful but nothing special.We're just amazed of the chinese wrapper!

Fourth Stop: Wai Ying Fastfood
There were a lot of people eating inside when we got there..The roasted duck display was appealing enough to attract customers. Another blog - buzzed at chinatown..We asked about their best - seller and one of it was the chicken mushroom (P110). We were excited about it and when it came..it's in a metal bowl like that of a dog's with 3 pieces of pale chicken meat and 2 small mushrooms..wtf.If I could just show the expression of being dismayed and dissapointed.

My Favorite: Century Egg (P20)

The staff we're accommodating but for the food we had, this is:LIGWAK!

Btw, restaurants would give you a welcome tea.

During our walk, I noticed this store selling Fried Siopao but ignored it, we went back on our way home, gave our full attention but too bad ubos na!

Seventh Stop: Eng Bee Tin
This is redundant! everywhere I look, there's Eng Bee tin..As a token of appreciation, Dawn bought me an Ube Hopia.Sarap!

I was really happy this day because I had visited 2 churches because for a very long time now, I've not visited any. Plus, I explored China town with Dawn AND while we are being crazy on the street, the result of the board exam was out
and thank God we've made it!I'm now a registered Nurse!Yipee!

Tia Maria's Fajitas!

I already had my pre - valentine's celebration but this friend of mine who never had a ___________ keep on insisting me to date her and so I did!=) I hope she had fun and may this day be always remembered because she left me with empty pockets again.

We decided to go for Tia Maria's with their promo Fajitas Grande Fiesta. It was quite expensive for the servings but the overall taste was good. We were the only customers by that time so we grabbed the chance to laugh ourselves till we drop.

Fajitas Grande Fiesta (P555 + service charge) - Their ad says it's good for 4 persons but I think the serving would be exactly for 3 persons only. It consists of a pan full of Angus beef and chicken strips, lettuce, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, cheese and salsa plus 6 tortillas. Btw, what's fun here is that you'll be the one to make your own fajitas.

Having a hard time rolling mine..I wanted it too stuffed kasi..=)

It also comes with a pithcer of your choice (iced tea or orange juice) and this awesome Orange Creme Brulee which surprised us because I never knew that a restaurant
like this would make a great tasting creme brulee.

Cafe Breton's Delicious French Crepes!

I had known Cafe Breton from a famous blogger during his stay at Tagaytay and surprisingly they opened a branch at Mall of Asia. The French Crepes are highly priced but it goes with the saying that “you get what you pay for”. The place was small but quaint, a bit dark for me though.

I haven't tried any but Mimi did. The prices of the Crepes ranges from P200 to 300++ . If I knew that they made delicious crepes, I should have bought one for myself..

Deja vu (P220) – a simple creation yet so scrumptious! I love this! Far more better than those crepes filled with toppings..

We just tried one of their crepes and Cafe Breton didn't fail us..Next time, we won't be afraid to order from their menu because we know that everything listed there is yummy!

Almon Marina: Classic Sandwiches at affordable prices

Almon Marina is one of the restaurants wherein the scenario will always be like: you'll stop at the moment you saw their mouth-watering menu, then will think twice if you'll come in or pass and will just decide to try it next time because you'd think it's too much for you. Well, we just ate there and I'ma tell you that they have competitive prices for their above average food and service.

Mimi and I had a great time here because the place was simple but well - themed, choice of music was excellent which made this small place graceful and the service was fast and accommodating. This is our pre - valentine's celebration with no preparation at all because we just came from my sister's 18th birthday but in spite of it, we're together again this day and i think that's more than enough, eh?

Sandwiches are their specialty so we decided to go for it and I'm surprised that Mimi chose the same version as my sandwich, only that mine was roasted angus beef and hers was roasted chicken. The only thing that is not convenient here is that they follow the policy "Pay as you order", when it's more suitable and favorable that the menu will be given as customers took their seats. They have a variety of dishes and if you're new to it,that will take you so much time standing at the counter thinking of what you'll pick.It's a bit awkward for me..

Here's our picks for valentine's:

1. Open Faced Black Angus Beef (P200) - this came with vegetables and mashed potatoes on the side. The generous serving of angus beef made me smile at every bite. The sauce compliments the angus beef well. =)

2. Open Faced Roasted Chicken (P165) - this was Mimi's but I tried it. Same with mine..Chicken meat was tasty but not that tender

3. Chef's Salad (P145) - I asked the store manager and he said that this was their bestseller among the salads.. How I loved this especially the vinaigrette that comes with it!

All in, I loved Almon Marina and we would definitely come back if given a chance, Imagine paying only P500 for he both of us..Another good thing is that it has no service charge so the bill is as is.

1. An Intimate Dinner at some Blog buzzed restaurants.

Laya,(Antipolo) - If you are not afraid of a late night adventure then this could be your place!Great Food at a Great Price. 700++ per person

Ninyo,(Katipunan) - Impress your girl with Chef Ninyo's Set Creations for 700++ per person!

2. Hot Air Balloon Festival, (Pampanga)

Early Birds gets the worth of their travel because balloons are set to fly at 7:30 am. Entrance fee is only P150 pesos but if you were ambitious enough to hop in the hot air balloon, I guess you have to pay a lot more than the entrance.

3. Live, Love and Relax at some best-kept resorts

For P1750 pesos (deluxe room), this might be one of the best deals you'll ever have!

Casa San Pablo, Laguna

Feel homey at Casa San Pablo, enjoy the serenity with your loved ones for only P1900 pesos per person with full meals for the day and use of all their amenities

Anawangin, Zambales - A five - hour drive from Manila is all worth it for the superb nature setting in zambales.Crystal clear water, white Sand, limited population. This place is totally virgin!

Mimi and I don't eat much at Chinese Restaurants because she doesn't like their traditional dishes and that's toomuch of a sacrifice for me. I love dimsum, congees and everything chinese! So I'm so happy when we tried Mongkok at Mall of Asia. There are only three branches of Mongkok in Manila, the other two are in Rockwell and G5.Just a simple Chinese Restaurant serving the typical Chinese Food.

So why Mongkok?
It's because all the staff there likes to talk with Mimi and offers her a sample of their dishes for free,gives her discount,and BIG servings of what she had ordered. Isn't that a very good explanation?

During our visit, the manager gave her a free Fried Rice which can serve 4 persons, a warm service and the dessert that we had ordered is not included in the bill intentionally.

Not the best congee that I've tasted but it didn't failed me naman.I wasn't able to finish this because it will leave me full enough to try the other dishes

How I loved this!The sticky sauce gave me an hmmm sarap!plus the steamed meatballs...if I weren't full that time I'd definitely give this another shot!

I really had fun here at Mongkok! There's a lot of choices to choose from and all of it are above average I guess. The service was great although I have to point that sometimes they serve slow to the point that eager customers would cancel their orders..hope that would be improved next time..

I just drank a bottle of Minute Maid Pulpy. They say it’s got ‘no preservatives added’. Aw, c’mon…It’s bottled juice. Is that even possible? So I thought maybe... We could try some bottles of Minute Maid, check it's Nutritional Facts and Ingredients but oh! I think we don't even have to do that because just by taste you'd know that Minute maid is all natural..no preservatives..cross my heart. =)

I didn’t believe it the first time I heard it’s got no preservatives added. So I read the ingredients (even the fine print) and everything checked out! It really has NO PRESERVATIVES ADDED! That means it doesn’t have ingredients that may turn out to be allergens, or worse...carcinogens! Whew! Now that’s healthy goodness that tastes so good, I... have to go to the market NOW and buy for myself and friends! I'll give them a blast of heavenly pulpy taste without consequences and no limitations to our dear life because this drink is totally awesome!so delicious yet so healthy! These days, everything we buy has preservatives which can harm our health without us even noticing it. Carcinogens are one thing I’m getting rid of because it turns our healthy cells into cancer cells so when I heard that Minute Maid is now all natural, I wanted to jump for joy because I can now enjoy my favorite drink as much as I want!

So okay, it’s got no preservatives added. That’s really good, right? Not just because it doesn’t have those icky, harmful ingredients, but it also means... that if it has no preservatives...ahm..oh men!it's 100% pure orange goodness!well, I guess nothing could beat this drink that is Oh! all natural! It’s like drinking a real orange fruit with much more juice and pulp!

So far anyone who still has a hard time believing that Minute Maid has got no preservatives added - meaning it's THAT natural, it's almost like it's plucked straight from the tree, it's just as Mother Nature wanted your orange juice to be, it's got nothing but the good stuff yes, none of those potentially toxic stuff that can harm your brain, kidneys, heart; cause tumors aargh- the list of preservatives' bad effects just go on!!! Anyway, just to prove a point on just how good Minute Maid Pulpy is 'cause it's got NO PRESERVATIVES ADDED, I'm gonna drink it and follow me..you don't even have to squeeze that orange in your hands..with Minute maid, all you have to do is open the bottle and drink the all natural orange juice you've never tasted before! The Ultimate Taste Test 5.0!

Here is our Awesome Taste Test 5.0 experience together with my nine friends! Following our first UTT(4.0) blast we promised to make it up for the next one and would come no matter what. I’m here about the food,yes, but actually, I’d like to know how a simple blogger can make it up to this point of success. I really admire Mr. Anton Diaz for making this event big and awesome!

At first, I was still taking pictures of the food booths but soon as we taste samples booth to booth, I hadn’t realized that I was not taking pictures of them anymore and just found myself enjoying the foods like I haven’t been eating for a long time!hahaha!

It was a great night indeed and though I have a lot more to say, I’ll just keep it in me and keep the ball rolling..

Pepita’s International Lechon- I was speechless the moment I’ve tasted this!Sobrang sarap!The lechon was stuffed with another lechon rice, this was sooo sinful but sometimes we have to accept that some best things in life are bad for your health.=)

The hearty onion- I kept going back for their Roasted pandan-wrapped salmon. Soft and tasty just the way I like it! The mini pulled beef sandwiches are great too!

Dulcelin- Too bad I ain’t got any pics of this, they have been the “suki participant” in UTT and never failed to impress everybody. Love the Korean red rice salad!

Rafael’s bottled foods – Pomodoro Tinapa. This was a mild tinapa yet impressive! It goes well with rice and pasta.

YOH-GEE premium Froyos – This is hard to admit but I haven’t tasted any Froyos yet so when I saw this, you might have laughed at my face. Wow!first time! Loved the mango version.

Kitchen of Elaine and Cara – For something new to me, I’ll give a clap to their peppermint choco bars!

Actually, I did not appreciate the desserts that much because there were lots of them and only a few have distinguishing taste.

This night’s specials were Bobby Yan (co-host), The San Miguel Sexy Ladies and The Stupid Lovers, Salbakuta! (We were happy for this pic with them and I don’t know why.haha)

Our awesome ticket pass for the night! Mimi won a P150 gift certificate from HERO sausages.

Rio Mint candies gave an effort here to promote their products and even rented a photo booth which was pretty fun! My sister got addicted to the candies and even insisted on me to buy her one!

We ended Jane's Birthday at Art's Cream gallery Gelato and Cafe. You could also try it out if you're burned out from Starbucks or any other "Pang-masa" chill-out place. There were no customers when we got there so it seems that we've closed the whole place for us.=)

We ordered "One for All". 13 Flavors of Gelato for only P420!yum!yum! The title One for All describes our friendship and I just love the way we ate the gelato Together.Spread love, spread the saliva!hahaha!

Pasta for me is too easy, maybe a drop off at sbarro will do or at any restaurant offering it for a cheap price. I would never go for P500 pasta dish cause there’s a big possibility that I’d get disappointed BIG TIME. Anyways, today is my bestfriend Jane’s birthday and so she had her treat at Bigoli. Their offer made their dishes at its best, imagine paying P160 only for a great combo.

Pork Piccata with Fettuccine Alfredo and Garlic bread(P165) – this is the best combo for me! I love the Piccata especially when melted cheese oozes out when you bite. =)

Pork Piccata with Spaghetti marinara and Garlic bread(P150)

Chicken Pasta Bigoli(P115) – this was mei’s order. They want to try something different this time because its their nth time here but I guess it wasn’t a nice move because the taste of this pasta wasn’t satisfying.

Meltique Beef Pasta Bigoli(P115)- another loser here. The taste of the meat was unexplainable.

Bacon Stromboli(P120) – this is the winner for me! I can eat this all by myself!

Mimi's birthday treat at Yakimix!

Last October 5, 2010 Mimi celebrated her birthday with me ONLY at Yakimix, Mall of Asia. For 500 pesos per person you can enjoy a wide variety of dishes, mostly Japanese dishes. Drinks are separately available for P60 bottomless na..good thing here is that you can choose from iced tea, mango, lemon, or softdrinks during the refilling meaning “hindi porket sinabi mo iced tea bottomless, iced tea all the way lang ang refill”.

I love their buffet setting. There are three sides actually, on the left side are the raw grill type dishes (bbq,shrimps,meat rolls, etc) which you can cook on your own table, every table has their own smokeless grill. The only disadvantage is that meat juices pops out and may burn your skin so be careful on that. On the right side are the cooked ones and one the far right side are the sushi creations.so yummy!

The food was great! I love the mushrooms and the tofu-based dishes..I also had fun mixmatching my salad but I'm so full already that i can't appreciate it much na..

Desserts are cool but not that amazing. They don’t create it themselves.. Cakes are from red ribbon and goldilocks, there are lots of ice pops, scoop your own ice cream and toppings plus there’s mini cupcakes and chocolates.

Overall, I find the service great and the place homey..It was classy but not intimidating (it should not be because it’s buffet style otherwise I can’t go back for another round or ROUNDS). Thanks Mimi for the treat!hehe!next time ulit ha?hahahaha!

Mimi and I went to BF Paranaque yesterday to try Crave Burger and she keeps on saying “Malayo pa ba tayo?” with Paawa effect. From a very exhausting day to a heavy traffic I expect a good deal here and I guess Crave Burger didn’t fail us. Their humble beginnings started at Bacolod and the owner is an ilonggo which is quite interesting because you wouldn’t find people there specializing burgers and that because my Tatay was an ilonggo too.=)

Here’s a peak of their menu. Well, there’s nothing complex here because they only got one type of burger and you’ll just choose for a single or double patty..Looking at the pictures won’t satisfy you because it looks small there but wait till it got served.=)

By the way, they’re still on a dry run so to keep you waiting here’s a tv plus add up some talks!

Garden Salad with Mango vinaigrette (95) – this was simple but pleasing. I added up some mayo to complete this up!

This is crave combo # 2 which is a double crave burger plus fries and drinks (195) – I got full with this! Not the best burger I’ve tasted but I would say I’d go back for more.. The patty was big and fat and We loved the simple taste..Only, the fries was on big cuts but it’s like imitating KFC’s yet it lacks taste.

The place was homey to me, can accommodate up to 12 persons inside and got two more tables outside..Try it and let’s see if you gonna crave for it!

I entered college and I forgot blogging..but when I first saw your blog (OAP) in search to find a good place to eat, my heart was reopened for blogging (using blogger all the way!)but this time it’s all about food and places because that’s what makes me happy the most.=)

I quit drumming and sold my drumset just to buy a Sony W50, my first point-and-shoot camera. My Tatay saw me taking pictures of anything and anybody at any given point in time..the next thing I knew is that I have this classic dslr on my hands given to me by Nanay and Tatay. From then on, I got more inspired through my journey because I have good pictures to keep..

Manual Tool: A Handy Notebook
I always bring my handy notebook to take note of everything we had after every experience (the food we ordered,price, and of course I also take note of our happy moments together so it also serves as my diary). As of now, I’m on my 2nd notebook because my first one is filled already..

Laptop: Acer Aspire 4730Z
Nanay and Tatay bought me this laptop for my research class..Well, actually I used it barely for that purpose(laughs). I use this mostly for picture – editing,making graphics, and making scratch entries for my blog posts.. I really don’t need an expensive laptop, though this one’s cheap, It makes me happy using it all the time!

Pictures MATTER in my blog..Great photos have great impact on readers as we are visually stimulated beings..I am so much comfortable with CS3 when it comes to editing with a touch of lightroom. I fix my photos just by adding contrast to some dull shots. I also care about the resolution when transferring photos to my blog so I chose Flickr.Great and free!

We went to a part of Puerto azul because it's Nanay Rowie's Birthday! I love the place as well as the people I'm with.The house has an incredible view!It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms..I asked nanay how much it would cost for a one night stay and she said P6000 pesos only!cool!

Well, this is the first time I wrote a food blog with my family..It’s because we rarely hang out, most of the time, Nanay and Tatay would just buy us “pasalubong” and we’d share it happily at home. We had our dinner here at Luk Foo and my family were the only customers laughing and making noise.. we most love to laugh at Tatay when he does his wacky face.=)

Luk Foo is a simple Chinese restaurant located at Puregold. They also had another version which is called Luk Foo Hotpot. We just didn’t liked how they treat customers..Upon sitting they’ll give you the menu and you’ll see in the lady’s face(the one getting your order) that you have to order right away when in fact, there’s a lot of choices and we’re just first – timers here so we need time to decide on what to eat. And what made it worst is besides our dine – in orders,we also had to take-out some of our favorites like, century egg,siomai, pancit, etc and they were putting it all on our table full of plates already..I was just disappointed of the thought “nagmamadali” so that other new customers could fill out our seats..The whole good food experience got ruined by it.=(

Mimi, I’m very happy spending this day with you..although we’re both tired from yesterday’s separate outings, super saya pa din natin.bangag ka.hahahahah!Yehey!nakakain na tau sa Japanese restaurant!

Mimi and I went to MOA to buy some...”secret” and I really had a hard time helping her (glad that she noticed it) so we took a break and have our lunch here at Sakae Sushi. This is the first time that we ate in a Japanese restaurant together since she’s not into it that much.. For the people passing by, the conveyor belt loaded with a variety of sushi is truly Sakae’s asset that eyes get stuck to it, I admit that that scene gave me the urge to eat there plus I’m a sushi lover.=)

As I open their menu, I noticed that most of the foods are overpriced based on the serving quantity..Imagine paying P99 pesos for 4 small square cuts of tofu and P50 pesos for a cup of rice..So the thought that I’ll get “bitin” with their single meals made me go for their All day Unlimited Sushi which is P399 for adults and P199 for kids.

I love most of their sushi creations and I don’t know but I love grabbing the plates from the conveyor belt..sorry, it’s my first time.=) The color of the plates have their corresponding prices: P39 for blue,P59 for yellow,P79 for green and P99 for red. I also love the complimentary soup and the unlimited cold green tea!

Mimi ordered Ebi Tempura(P299) because that’s the only Japanese food she eats.

I wanted to eat more but my stomach acts like it was saying a big NO!I just came from a heavy meal party last night and my stomach haven’t coped up yet..Nah..here are the swept mini plates.=)

I would like to thank my friend, Laisa for this awesome day with her.. Really, it’s not about the movie or the food that I’m happy..it’s about our time together..yihee!cheezy!

Brasserie Boheme by The Gustavian is one of the fine dining restaurants located at Salcedo Village, Makati. This could be the place if you want to have just a casual date, meeting and for business purposes.. And Maybe it would be better if there’s music along that would complement the ambiance because the place seems steep and conversations were overlapping here and there.

We had the Menu Du Jour Prix Fixe, a mix and match set menu of soup or salad, main course and dessert for P430 + 10% sc..Brasserie was among the cheap but elegant finds on the net when it was still P390 considering that you’ll have a three-course meal at a Gustavian Restaurant but honestly, Friend and I only got happy with their main course.. The salad was like “Hey!are we not going to pay here?For God’s sake add a liitle more dressing!” and their desserts were just Ok..

Laisa’s choice:
House salad (smoked salmon/ripe mango/mustard dressing )– No picture..Really having a hard time taking pictures at night..pls forgive me with the following pics..=)

Beef Stroganoff (Mushrooms/mustard/Sour cream/cogmac/Rissotto) – Laisa shared a bit of this to me and I envy her after tasting! Perfect combination.

Creme Brulee – Like I said,just ok..I love this hard on top..

Nicoise Salad (Tuna/haricot beans/tomato/new potatoes/devilled egg) – The greens were fresh but didn’t appreciated it much since the dressing was hardly tasted..

Pork Roulade (Smoked ham/emmental cheese/sauvignon blanc/spinach and garlic rice) – loved this too!now I’m missing Mediterranean cuisine.=)

Chocolate cake – a MINI chocolate cake or simply a chocolate bar

The place was too serious but we still managed to be our wacky selves..love you friend!

Well, I’ve been looking at Manila Girl’s blog and happened to spot this resort at Batangas called Valentino Resort and Spa..checked their website, clicked on their rates first because I know there are a lot of beautiful places but most aren’t really budget-friendly.. I felt so alive when I saw that their deluxe rooms would only cost us P1750(price depends by season) with free breakfast for two!Galing no?hehe!

They have three pools, one’s a kiddie pool and a Jacuzzi. Around the pools are cabanas which you can rent too..or not, they’re really not strict about you getting your butt on it.

We also had fun at the bridge..I was jumping on it and Mimi went crumbling around.=p

You can hold small and big gatherings here..their pavillon is simple but pleasing. My sister is dying to have her debut here after seeing the pics..better pass your subjects first before telling nanay and tatay your plans, sis!hahah!

By the way, they offer spa services and access to their gym. A restaurant is located nearby their information center and the menu is provided in every room. For the free breakfast, the food is just ok but nothing to rave about..

Here's a shot inside the deluxe room, for P1750, I couldn't complain much..it has a small tv, a good bathroom and a good working aircon.

Well, I never thought that my Best Friends Forever would be my Best Foodie Friends too..For all these years that we’ve shared common things together, the exceptional and the only reason of our fights is food.=) So tonight we really had a blast of fun at The Ultimate Taste Test 4.0 in cooperation with San Miguel Corporation and Our Awesome Planet!

Also, we got the chance to be a food critic tonight but we chose to crumble over the food stalls until we get bloated for what we call the “good things this night has to offer.” I know I’m so P.G. but what can I do? This is me. But even though my Friend Laisa is the only one serious about the paper critics, the good thing for me naman is that I now knew where I could find great foodies at great prices because I had all their brochures and marketing ads!

Here’s sharing with you some of the stalls we have encountered:

Hero sausages- I’m already seeing this product at the malls but never buy it..I’ve tasted maybe 4-5 bits and I think it’s good..average.

Maison de Valere’s Chicken Liver Pate’ – This is a hit for me! It goes well with the garlic bread slices..I gave it a perfect 5 in the ratings..

ManilaQ – I had their complete taste platter.. I love the siomai and gyoza! I remember that we never lined for this..and that’s how we learned that for each stall, it’s not really bad na sumingit.=) easy food!

Sakae Sushi- one of my favourites! I’ll definitely try their eat-all-you can at moa.

Muscovy Duck Ham – “Sweet”. That’s all I can remember

Empanada Avenue – full-stuffed empanada! I love empanadas! Haven’t you noticed that they were really happy in this picture?

Sodastream – Sodas with less sugar..And they had this product that turns water into softdrinks..cool!

The Fruit Garden- nah,just took a photo of their stall.. I’m not into jams.=)

Happy Green- I love their dips and their lemongrass tea!

The other products that are worth buying and so much satisfying are the CAMBELI sweets, Divine desserts, Dulcelin Gourmet’s Angus Short Rib Steak,Crave Burgers, Pellegrino's,Goodles and Qasa 61. I never had the chance to take more pictures because I was aiming to taste them all and I guess I didn’t failed..Yipee! so happy!

There were also performers from The Comedy Cartel and since we were too busy all I can remember is that we should be proud that Mayor Binay won the vice-president position because they were comparing him to Obama..”Sabi nila meron na daw tayong first BLACK VICE-PRESIDENT.”hehe.

The Dulcinea at mall of asia is the first restaurant I've seen from them because mostly they come in stalls..I saw some of their food presentations and I think it's good naman.

We ordered their mini cakes (P89 each) but I haven't appreciated them much because I'm already full..I like their creampuffs more than their cakes.

Our third stop is Bed Scene, a resto-bar, also at moa. Instead of the usual inuman session where you got tables and chairs,at bed scene you have to drink in bed..At least when you faint from too much alcohol, it'll be too much easier for your friends to pick you up.=) Well, for me this one's unique. No problems with the waiters.A good place to drink, I guess.

Eskimo Bob by Iceberg is an ice cream diner at the bay view part of moa. They serve crepes, Splits and parfaits, Milk shakes, choco creations, pasta, steaks and many more! Mimi and I once ate here for a chocolate fondue and I knew that another experience would be worth while.

Mine was M&M’s Rainbow (P138)- I felt sugar on my veins..Even the strawberry syrup below the ice cream scoops is gone.

Jane’s was the Hugs and Kisses (P138)- Nothing really special except of course, the kisses.=p

If you have experienced their pasta, salads, etc. You can share it here so if it’s good, you wouldn’t only go for their desserts!

Today is my date with “my lub” Jane. We gave Hongkong Emperor Seafood Restaurant a try since it’s new at moa. From outside, I thought that just a step on the inside could get me daunt but looking at their menu gave me the relief I’ve been wanting. The price is good but the food is great! They also have an opening promo: 20% discount on weekdays and 10% on weekends..great isn’t?

The interiors were great and I imagine how those chandeliers could eat us alive. For a moment, you could eat like an emperor here.

A complimentary tea was given to start it off, by the way, you can’t complain about their crew since all of them are too active for your needs..

We ordered Chicken Cheese Ball(P280) . This is a must try! I really love the cheese and chicken.. ”hindi sya nakakaumay”

The one Jane ordered (Pork Platter P580) which is way too much expensive for me just disappointed me. I like the Filipino –style lechon more than this. And one thing is it’s “malansa” and lacks the crispiness.

We didn’t order the desserts here cos we’ll be heading to Eskimo bob for an ice cream but when one of the crew told the other one to give us desserts I just gave them a big NO! Because I’m afraid of the incoming bill..the waiter smiled and said it was for FREE..FREE? Thank God I found a place where there’s still free.

The mango sago was promising..I so loved it.=) But for the fruits.. good thing it’s just free.

My Triwan Family went yesterday at Club Manila East. It has its branches at Taytay, Real and Quezon. Unlike other private resorts, cme can accommodate a crowd of guests but still manage to maintain a clean and good pools and facilities. My only problem together with other guests is that many branded slippers were lost or shall I say stolen during our stay..though I’m not really sad ‘bout my Havs being stolen..”sayang pa din yun”.

Bringing of food is not allowed unless you knew someone working there. Anyways, food chains are available at CME. Jollibee,Chowking and Shakey’s

The Wave pool is cool and fun! They also have a kiddie pool and a shaded pool

First of all, I'd like to thank mimi for making this night happen by her not turning the fone off.=)

Ninyo Fusion Restaurant and Wine Bar formerly called In Yo is owned by Chef Niño Laus. I have read good reviews about it and now that I have experienced it my self, me too have to give it a two thumbs up.yeah! And If you would like to see their degustation menu sets with corresponding prices, message me your e-mail address.

Here's a look outside the resto. It's a bit small but they managed to have the seats arranged so it won't look crowdy at all if guests rushed at one time.

Mimi and I ate outside. We might get intimidated if we don't.

Our appetizers were bread and butter and this wasabi filled oyster with citrus mayo. Mimi ate a spoonful of this and I laughed hard of her reaction because she didn't know it has wasabi.

We chose salad over tomato soup..Shiitake Confit Salad-this one's amazing!will make you a veggie lover even when you're not..hahaha!

My choice.Chicken leg Satay in Japanese Soy Dressing - I think there's never a bad choice at Ninyo..all are just perfect!i guess.

Mimi's.Grilled Porkchop in Tonkatsu Broth

And for our dessert.Burnt Cream with Butterscoth floss.I have only eaten half..because mimi enjoyed this and even got my part.!hmm..sarap!wahahaha

we left school at about 6:00 am pero dapat 5:00 yun..ask nyo na lang c jopert at carol bat nagkaganun.=)

grabe super joyride kami cos' the trip consumed us for 4 hours..

we were shouting tapos nagiging manic pag nafeefeel namin na malapit na kami..pero hindi pa pala.hahahah!!

The beach was soooOOOoooorelaxing for us..pero d sa mga tao sa paligid namin dahil grabe ang kaguluhan at kaingayan!hahahaha!!!

La Mesa Ecopark

We celebrated our Christmas at La Mesa Ecopark. What made it best was we're all present to rock this place.=)

Residents of Q.C. have their discount upon entrance, that's 20 pesos. And for the outsiders, 50 pesos.Walk ahead and you'll see a public pool.Mini stores are all over the place but I suggest you to bring your own "baons" because foods there are of limited choice and high priced.

Ecopark is the perfect place for nature tripping inside the metro. You can have your spot anywhere but I guess you'd be picky like we did..We didn't stopped walking until we found this rice terraces-like field.

We forgot to bring cards and more of anything for leisure so we took and took pictures (our addiction) and make fun of each other as we would always do.

having a picnic and talks would already consume you HOURS, and so it's better if you could come there a little earlier for other activities.

There you'll find a butterfly garden(20/ pax) that in any way I would never enter. But for those who appreciate butterflies, i guess you'll find a haven there.

Along the way going back to the main entrance, there's this long stairs which will lead you to a view of the dam. On the sides are filled with colorful flowers, and when you reach the top, it's not only breathtaking because you're running out of breath but because of the scenic view of the park from above.

Outside the park are adventures awaiting. Bikes for rents, boating which I guess is under the supervision of superferry(100 per hour regardless of the people who'd be in the boat), wall climbing(50 pesos for an attempt), horse riding,paintball and many more!

Villa Rey, Laguna: my dream place!

Since my birthday caught the last few days of summer, I always celebrate it as a swimming party. This time, we got farther because it’s my 18th birthday! My relatives, all the way from the north came earlier at the place than we are..My friends from high school and college were there and everyone that had been so close to me all my life.

The Place is Villa Rey resort, owned by a known government official there at Laguna. The resort is one of those found in a village in pansol, laguna full of hot spring pools and stay-inns. Although this one is far from the main gate of the village, you can ask some fixers there to guide you to the place.

Renting the resort for an overnight would cost you 16,000 inclusive of the adult and kiddie pool, and the five fully air-conditioned rooms. Add 500 pesos for the gas that you’ll use for cooking. But in case you wouldn’t accommodate all the rooms, tell it to the caretaker and she’ll lower the price to 9,000 pesos..only for the days mon-thurs. Fri- Sunday are the peak days so the rates are higher.

Here’s the overall view of the resort. It can accommodate up to 100 persons if and only if not all of you would sleep at the same time.=)

What made the place so relaxing is that trees are all over. You’ll appreciate it more during daytime, so green!

A Humid Date at Pamana

Pamana is one of the first restaurants I've been eying on my starting days of this kind of trip. This restaurant is a sister company of Barrio Fiesta, serving Filipino cuisine as a merit of heritage. And as for me and my friend, this is a one-in-a-millennium moment that she's the one treating me. I was very happy this day.Thanks Friend! Tama yan.IPAMANA mo sa akin ang happiness!hahaha!

Sisterly date at Bigby's

The only Bigby's I knew was the one in Megamall and finally they're here at mall of Asia. Have a nice concept and their foods can be shared by two. This resto is worth a try.. Try literally for they have this unique challenge about their raved titanic ice cream: you have to finish it(with a friend) for FIVE minutes and it's free but if you're too unfortunate..pay it..for 999 pesos, ok?hehe

This day was supposed to be mimi's day..then it became may's but it ended up with my sister's..she's not the last option, of course..I so love my sister..SABI..hahaha.. My SD memory card's a traitor..it wasn't on my dslr when I checked it..twas back at home..dear shit.. so pagtyagaan nyo na lang fone pics.

Bermuda Triangle Salad - fresh greens,pork strips, egg, tomato,ground pork,bell peppers, and mtms..kakawili tong salad na to..super sulit.. the only problem is they don't have a house dressing..just K islands

Pescado Al Fresco - Fish Fillet in fried onion hairline strips - half worth but nothing really special

Khat and I had our new ice craze at mall of asia! We were for something refreshing and while walking,this DREAM ICE kakicoori caught our attention. Its a simple mix of crushed ice, the flavor syrup of your choice (bestsellers are melon, caramel and strawberry), macapuno, nata, condensed milk and 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream.

This feature is not really in my plan to get posted, but since I enjoyed the taste I decided to include it na. I thought this cooler was the same with other of its kind..Too much sweet that I can’t even finish a small serving..this one has the right blending and sides.

And instead of me eating, I’ll just put khat’s picture because you might get dismayed if it would be me.

On our day 2 before check-out..we had a very surprising trekking..I thought it was going to be a salvage because our tour guides seem to be..what we're thinking..but they're not..The flat land up to the mountains..we walked it on!
